Marketing Association Names Nancy High Executive Director

Nancy High has been named Executive Director of the International Home Furnishings Marketing Association, the Sponsor of the International Home Furnishings Market. She will begin her duties on January 1, 1999. She will become CEO August 1, 1999 when current CEO Richard Barentine retires, ending more than two decades as CEO of the Marketing Association. Nancy High is currently the Director of Marketing Services at the American Furniture Manufacturers Association. She has been a member of AFMA's executive staff for more than 20 years. "We are pleased to have Nancy join us at this important time in Market's long history," said Jeff Young, Marketing Association President. "Nancy High brings a great depth of experience, industry respect, and leadership ability to this new challenge," said Barentine. "I have known her for many years and I am confident that she can advance the important mandate that the Marketing Association performs as Market's Sponsor."
