Therapedic and Mattress Mart Donate Mattresses to Families First Program

Mattress Mart, one of Michigan's largest sleep shops, in conjunction with The Therapedic Mattress Company, recently continued their tradition of bedding donations by presenting S.A.F.E. Place with over $170,000 worth of twin mattresses for their Families First program. "Mattress Mart and Therapedic are very proud of our contributions to the Families First program. Our continuing involvement with Families First and S.A.F.E. Place demonstrates Mattress Mart's continued commitment to our local communities. This most recent donation is one of many made in 2000, and is another reason why the Better Business Bureau of Western Michigan recently awarded us with their Small Business Community Service Award," stated Trent Sheuer, co-owner of Mattress Mart. Families First is a program which works with families who have been impacted by domestic violence and who have received residential or non-residential service through S.A.F.E. All three locations are locally owned by Jeff, Trent and Tony Sheuer. The Therapedic Bedding Company is the nation's fifth largest bedding manufacturer. Its South Bend, Indiana facility serves all Mattress Mart locations and contributes to domestic violence shelters throughout the United States via a program modeled after Mattress Mart's own bedding donation campaign.
