More than 50,000 square feet will be added to the existing 160,000 square foot factory to provide much-needed space for production and materials. "In spite of Industry slowdowns, we are busy and jumped at the opportunity to expand into the adjacent space," said Braden Richter, Founder and CEO. "As a manufacturer, one of our challenges is managing materials and coordinating space for production. Our new space is ideal and within just a few weeks, we finalized the addition and even added a new Gerber leather cutting machine." According to Richter, both the expansion and Gerber machine represent a significant investment and illustrate confidence and optimism for continued growth. The existing staff of 170 continues working hard to coordinate all stages of production, from concept and prototypes to crafting and shipping. "Clearly, the growth of leather upholstery is a driving force for our business," said Richter. "Upholstered leather sofas and chairs demand detailed production and accurate cutting technology. Our design and detail work has always been strong, now we can raise the furniture bar once again." Richter is also preparing for the summer show season, including exhibits in San Francisco, New York and is finalizing details for their new Richter showroom in High Point, NC.
