Mattress Gallery Taps FurnishNet to Manage Electronic Data Exchange

FurnishNet announced that Gallery Corp., which operates 36 Mattress Gallery stores in southern California, will implement FurnishNet to manage electronic document exchange. As an exclusive Simmons sleep shop, Mattress Gallery will use FurnishNet to support the electronic exchange of data between its retail stores and Simmons for all purchase orders, acknowledgements, advance ship notices, and invoices. By automating these transactions, Mattress Gallery will improve order accuracy, reduce order processing, and accelerate the delivery of merchandise for enhanced customer service. "We briefly looked at using EDI for Mattress Gallery, but that would have meant high consulting dollars and open-ended costs," said Jim Ristas, President. Now, Mattress Gallery will be able to take orders directly from their retail system and send them through FurnishNet for direct delivery into Simmons’ corporate information system.
