Homecrest Wins Manufacturer Leadership Award For The Fifth Time!

Homecrest Industries Incorporated, manufacturers of quality casual and outdoor furniture, was recognized by the Casual Furniture Retailers Association as the outstanding manufacturer of the year with the Manufacturer Leadership Award for 1999. This makes the fifth time that Homecrest has won the award since 1990 when it was instituted. The Manufacturer Leadership Award for 1999 was presented to Homecrest Industries at the Casual Furniture Retailers Association annual meeting in Cancun, Mexico on February 5, 2000. Representing Homecrest were Don Bottemiller, President; Jan Trinkley, Vice President of Marketing and Sales; Mark Bottemiller, Director of Continuous Process Improvement; Lynn Hanson, National Sales Manager; Marilou Heltemes, Customer Service Manager; and Mark Fillhouer, Manager-Regional Sales and Training. Based on specific criteria including excellence in design, ethics, service, and quality, members of the Casual Retailers Association from across the country voted by secret ballot for five finalists at the nation's largest Casual Furniture Market Show in Chicago, Illinois. The 1999 finalists included Homecrest, Lloyd-Flanders, Telescope, Tropitone, and Winston. In a letter of congratulations to all employees, Don Bottemiller, president of Homecrest wrote, "It felt good to those of us who were here to receive the award and hear the nice things said about Homecrest and the people in the Wadena area."
