Ther-A-Pedic Of The Great Lakes presented Richard W. Glaubinger Memorial Award

THER-A-PEDIC GREAT LAKES was recently presented the inaugural Richard W. Glaubinger Memorial Award presented internationally to the THER-A-PEDIC Factory Member exemplifying total commitment to the THER-A-PEDIC name, through creativity, innovation and performance in the pursuit of bringing THER-A-PEDIC INTERNATIONAL to the forefront in the eyes of the trade, consumer and peers, with special attention to the unselfish contributions to the Community on behalf of THER-A-PEDIC, in that factory's country or region. The award will be presented annually. Richard W. Glaubinger, former President of THER-A-PEDIC INTERNATIONAL had also served as Director of Marketing and Advertising for over 30 years for THER-A-PEDIC INTERNATIONAL before passing away from cancer in May, 1997. The criteria for this award was based on CREATIVITY PERFORMANCE/ INNOVATION and COMMUNITY/INDUSTRY INVOLVEMENT. Kenneth Wilschek, President/Owner accepted the award from Michael A. Pino, Vice President Operations & International Development at THER-A-PEDIC INTERNATIONAL's reception during the ISPA Exposition 2000 in Charlotte recently. "Kenneth has not only been instrumental in the creation and production of particularly meaningful and strong sales materials for our Domestic and International factory members, he has also provided successful direction and assistance to our group in merchandising our premium and ultra-premium bedding line," explained Mr. Pino. "He has unselfishly taken time from his own factory's responsibilities to assist individual members in meeting their own marketing requirements." Receiving Honorary Recognition for this award were Jeffrey Sherman and Greg Sammons, THER-A-PEDIC Midwest, SOUTH BEND, Stuart Carltiz, THER-A-PEDIC NEW JERSEY, and Graeme MacNamara, THER-A-PEDIC QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA.
