Hearst Brand Development, in collaboration with licensing partner Surya Rugs, announced that it is expanding its successful collection of Country Living area rugs.  Building on the existing line that launched in 2009, The Country Living Happy Cottage Collection will be introduced to the trade at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, from July 14th – 17th at booth # 6-A7.

The Happy Cottage Collection will include 18 new tight weave dhurrie rugs in a range of designs that include classic farmhouse stripes, bold plaids, and patterns inspired by vintage quilts.  Constructed of 100% wool, with colors ranging from warm subtle hues to vivid brights, each design offers a comforting statement that will enhance the beauty of any living space.

“Our expanded rug collection offers the perfect range of designs to serve today’s personalized approach to decorating,” said Glen Ellen Brown, vice president of Hearst Brand Development. “The enhanced color palette offers a fresh update on the classic country style that our readers know and love.”

“The New Happy Cottage Collection with Country Living and Surya shows what great design partnerships can do.  These rugs are full of cheerful colors and designs work wonderfully well in flat weave construction.  Buyers are going to love these,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya.

The collection will be available to consumers at rug and home décor specialty stores; and through home décor catalogs and websites.  Suggested price for a 5x8 area rug is: $308.
